Utah State women’s soccer ran its undefeated start to the season to 6-0 with a 3-0 win over Utah Valley at Clyde Field in Orem.
Kaitlin Richins opened the scoring in the third minute, and the 11th-ranked Aggies added a pair of goals from Kate Christian and Austin Miller before halftime.
Sophomore goalkeeper Shay Kercher-Pratt tied a career high with six saves to earn the shutout in goal.
It’s the second time in program history that Utah State has started 6-0, and the first since 2011, when the team was 8-0 before suffering its first setback.
"This is a great showing by our team and it's a sign of our depth,” USU coach Manny Martins said after the match. “We played so many players. I'm so proud of them because I felt like it was a solid performance from minute one to the 90th minute.
“We never stopped trying. Shay is doing great, our game-changers are coming in and scoring goals, I couldn't be more proud of them. And we're still looking to get better, there's a lot that we can still do."
